HEKStyle

HEKStyle is a multidisciplinary artist whose work utilises the aesthetics of his surroundings to explore our relationship with our journeys, which can often be harsh and unforgiving.

Having started from a graffiti background David went in search of work that would satisfy his creativity and sense of craftsmanship.

Self-taught in illustration, sneaker design, mural painting, and more, he now splits his time between creating his pieces as well as working together with businesses and individuals to realise their ideas.

Sneakers are a dominant factor in HEKStyles personal work and aim to symbolise the trek of these aforementioned journeys. Often choosing to isolate his subject which is perceived as though in a hopeless situation, there is always an underlying message of optimism and hope through perseverance.
