KAWS, born Brian Donnelly in 1974, is a hugely successful American designer & pop artist.
KAWS began as a graffiti artist, moving on to subvertising, and now makes sculpture, acrylic paintings on canvas and screen prints. He also collaborates commercially, predominantly on limited edition toys, clothing, skate decks and other products.
KAWS also sculptures range in size from a few inches to over ten metres tall, and are made from a multitude of materials including bronze, wood, fibreglass and aluminium.
KAWS work is exhibited globally, in both galleries and museums, held in the permanent collections of many public institutions, and is avidly collected by individuals.
