I started over twenty years ago helping my best friend {MEIK WOH}, who was already a big street artist, alongside {HUMO} & {PEKE}.
We break danced together, MIEK WOH and I, and a few times he asked me if I could help to carry paints and stuff for murals.
This enabled me to learn all his techniques and after four months I decided to hold my first spray can.
Practising every time I could, my first street mural was with MEIK WOH, and since that first mural, I fell in love with art.
For three years I was painting constantly on the street until I bought a set of brushes and started to experiment with different techniques.
As time flew by, I was reaching an age where I had many responsibilities and painting in Mexico {michoacan} wasn’t the way to go, since street art didn’t have value to anybody, only for me – that’s how I felt.
I stopped painting for a long time, and started to work in another industry, but never felt good enough, so I went back to doing art in my home – I was 24.
Since that day, I never lost the drive to dedicate my time and my life to what makes me feel free and happy – art in every extension: brush, pen, pencil, airbrush, spray can – anything!
Being in the UK has enabled me to get more into the roots of my Mexican culture {purepecha} and find my art style.
It has been a long process to find the connection with my art, mind, heart, and technique.
I see my art as a mix of NEW CUBISM / POP/ CONTEMPORARY and REALISM.
I am in love with what you can create with human shape, geometry and colours.
Especially eyes – the window of the soul. So delicate an organ of our body, but so powerful.
So sensitive and fragile, but at the same time gives us the chance to connect with a different world.
This could be a canvas, piece of paper, wall.. anything where you can put your soul on it (ART)…
