Description
“Chopper”
(Framed)
The piece is a version of the Australian $100 bill customised in the Lister spirit to the theme of celebrity underworld figure Mark ‘Chopper’ Read.
Chopper and Anthony Lister shared a brief friendship during which Lister painted several portraits of the Bad-Guy.
This lasted until a money-lending incident went dangerously awry, ending with Chopper $100 in Lister’s debt.
Hence, the $100 Lister Chopper currency – it’s payback time.
