Description
‘Ana’
(SIGNED)
Aaron Glasson & Celeste Byers
“We painted this at our friend Ana’s house in Mexico City as a commission for her. Ana had a dream about the painting we made for her (which we hadn’t made yet), described it to us, and we made it a reality, adding a few surprises of our own.
I can’t remember what happened exactly but she mentioned a deer and an ibis. We made a pencil sketch, then put together a composition using photos in Photoshop, and then painted it.
The original painting is 6 and a half feet in diameter and is somewhat based on Ana and the things she likes.
This piece is unique because it has two half ibis/half dear hurdling through space towards a full moon and rainbow. It also has a cactus snake, which is an animal plant I invented!
Plus it’s like a portal so works well hung on a ceiling as well as a wall!” – Aaron Glasson & Celeste Byers
